About PDC Youth Training Program
Building explosive Indianapolis athletes through work and grit.
Our Purpose
More Than Training. Building a Foundation for Life.
PDC Youth stands for Preparation, Discipline, and Consistency. Those three principles are at the center of everything I believe in, both as a coach and as someone who wants to make a lasting impact on the next generation.
My goal isn’t just to make kids faster, stronger, or better at football. It’s to help them build a foundation they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Through athletic development, mental discipline, and personal growth, I want to help young athletes discover what they’re capable of and develop the confidence to keep pushing forward, even when life gets difficult.
Sports can teach you a lot, but only if you learn from the process. The preparation, the repetition, the setbacks, the frustration, and the moments when you feel like you’re running out of energy all have something to teach you. I want our athletes to understand that growth doesn’t always feel good while it’s happening. Sometimes it requires patience. Sometimes it requires being uncomfortable. And sometimes it requires believing in yourself before you can see the results.
That’s where character begins to develop.

WHO I AM AS A COACH
I’m not the type of coach who’s going to stand on the sideline, point fingers, and tell kids what to do without being willing to do it myself. When we train, I’m in it with them. I’m doing the workouts, putting in the work, and challenging myself alongside them.
When the workout gets difficult, I want them to see that I’m not asking them to do something I’m unwilling to do myself. We’re going to work through the challenge together. I’m going to encourage them, hold them accountable, and remind them of what they’re capable of when they start doubting themselves.
I believe kids respond to what they see just as much as what they hear. I want to lead by example and create an environment where athletes know they have someone in their corner who genuinely wants to see them succeed.
But being in their corner doesn’t mean making everything easy for them. It means helping them recognize their potential, challenging them to grow, and teaching them that commitment matters even when motivation isn’t there.
I’m not here just to tell kids they can do something. I want to help them build the confidence that comes from putting in the work and seeing what they’re capable of doing.
OUR PHILOSOPHY: PREPARATION, DISCIPLINE & CONSISTENCY
Preparation means putting yourself in a position to succeed before the opportunity arrives. Whether it’s stepping onto a football field, competing in another sport, facing a challenge at school, or pursuing a goal in life, preparation gives you something to fall back on when the pressure comes.
Discipline means doing what you committed yourself to do, even when you don’t feel like doing it. It means learning to stay focused, accepting coaching, taking responsibility, and understanding that progress requires effort. Discipline isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being willing to learn, adjust, and keep showing up.
Consistency means understanding that one good workout won’t change everything. Real development comes from repetition, patience, and continuing to work toward something even when the results aren’t immediate. We build habits that help athletes improve over time, not just perform for one day.
These principles work together. Preparation gives you a plan. Discipline helps you follow through. Consistency helps turn your effort into growth.
That’s the foundation of PDC Youth.
TRAINING THE MIND, BODY & SOUL
Athletic development is about more than physical ability. Speed, strength, agility, coordination, explosiveness, and football skills are important, but I also believe in developing the mindset behind the athlete.
I want our athletes to learn how to respond when something is difficult, how to handle frustration, how to accept correction, and how to keep working toward a goal. I want them to recognize that one mistake doesn’t define them, one bad day doesn’t determine their future, and one setback doesn’t mean they should give up on themselves.
There will be moments when they feel challenged. That’s part of growth. Our job is to help them learn how to work through those moments safely, recognize their progress, and understand that they are capable of more than they may have believed.
To me, training the mind, body, and soul means developing the whole person. It’s about physical growth, mental resilience, self-belief, and building the character to carry those lessons beyond sports.
The goal is not to teach kids to ignore pain or push through every situation regardless of the consequences. It’s to help them understand the difference between a challenge that helps them grow and a situation where they need to listen to their bodies, speak up, and make the right decision.
I want them to find confidence in the work, strength in the process, and peace in knowing they gave an honest effort.
MORE THAN AN ATHLETE
As a football coach, I understand that sports can open doors and teach lessons that stay with you long after the final whistle. I’ve seen how important confidence, effort, physicality, preparation, and discipline can be when an athlete is competing.
But I also know that not every lesson learned in training will show up on a scoreboard.
Sometimes the biggest victory is an athlete believing in themselves when they used to doubt themselves. Sometimes it’s learning to stay committed, becoming more coachable, taking responsibility, or realizing they can face a challenge without immediately walking away from it.
Those are the things I want PDC Youth to help develop.
I want our athletes to take what they learn here into their homes, their classrooms, their relationships, their future careers, and whatever path they choose. They may come to us wanting to get faster for football, build strength, improve their agility, or become more explosive. My hope is that they leave with more than physical improvement.
I want them to leave with a stronger belief in themselves.
WE GROW TOGETHER
One thing I want every athlete to understand is that they aren’t in this alone.
I’m going to challenge them, encourage them, correct them, and hold them accountable. I’m also going to work alongside them and show them that growth is something we continue pursuing together. I’m not above the process, and I’m not asking them to be perfect.
We’re here to learn, improve, and keep building.
The world will place expectations and limitations on young people. Sometimes they’ll face doubt from others, and sometimes they’ll create those limitations themselves. I want to help them develop the discipline and confidence to keep working toward their potential instead of deciding too early what they can or cannot become.
I can’t promise that every athlete will win every game, become the fastest player, or reach every goal they set. What I can do is create an environment built around purposeful training, accountability, encouragement, and growth.
The mission is bigger than one athlete, one team, or one season. It’s about helping build a stronger foundation for the next generation, one athlete at a time.
PDC Youth is about growing together, pushing beyond the limits we place on ourselves, and preparing for whatever comes next.
Because what we build through training should mean something long after the workout is over.
